Two days of golf with friends, a great atmosphere, fantastic prizes and a sold-out tournament with 86 golfers — the 25th Charity Golf Cup was a resounding success. On Saturday, organisers Jens Dagné and Ludwig Janz set everything up in Friedberg, while board member Olaf Schrage opened a fun tournament in Bad Homburg on Germany’s oldest golf course. In the evening, everyone gathered at the Weingut Sandwiese wine stand and enjoyed a shared dinner at the Steigenberger.
Sunday was all about the main tournament in Friedberg. Despite mixed weather, participants experienced an unforgettable day. The prize-giving ceremony and the subsequent evening gala at Golfpark Löwenhof were the highlights of the weekend.
A special highlight was the presentation of the “HOPE Award,” which goes to individuals who actively support the “Education for Life” projects. This year the award was presented to Dr Peter Wenzel, Managing Director of OLYMP — a recognition of his outstanding commitment.
Thanks to the many donors and sponsors who provided, in particular, an exceptionally comprehensive tombola, a new record result was achieved. Sensational prizes such as city breaks, a Seychelles holiday, iPads, smartphones, computers, beauty sets, golf equipment and much more generated the enthusiasm that made a total of over €13,000 for our projects possible.
A special thank you goes to all sponsors and partners! newClips was also part of the media team again this year!
